Crankbrothers Synthesis DH Alloy 2.0 i9 Front Wheel

Put this on my DH bike and it's taken a beating. The alloy rim is stiff and the i9 hub is super snappy. I've hit trees, rocks, and all sorts of stuff and the wheel is still true. At this price, it's a no-brainer.

This wheel is built like a tank, but it's not light. I can feel the heft on long climbs. But for DH, it's perfect. The i9 hub is fantastic and the wheel feels indestructible. Good deal for the money.

Replaced my old DH wheel with this one and the difference in steering precision is amazing. The compliant front end really helps with root and rock chatter. The hub engagement is loud and instant. I'm extremely pleased.

I'm not a heavy guy (190 lbs) and I hit a small drop and snapped a spoke. Maybe I got a defective wheel, but that's not acceptable for a DH wheel. The shop said the rim and hub are fine, but I'm wary now. Not recommended.

The i9 hub makes this wheel feel top-tier. It rolls fast and accelerates quickly. The rim is sturdy and took a few big hits without damage. Only gripe is the decals were slightly misaligned, but that's cosmetic. Overall, great wheel.

Where else can you get an i9 hub laced to a strong alloy rim for under $100? This wheel is perfect for my DH bike. I've ridden it hard in the bike park and it's holding up flawlessly. The engagement is instant. I'm buying another one for the rear.
